About me
JJ Kennedy is currently the Assistant Principal at kisewatisiwin school in Edmonton. This is her 28th year with Edmonton Public Schools and has taught at all levels. Working in a variety of roles including ESL Consultant with EPSB , Curriculum Coordinator of special needs, Department Head of English Language Learners and, as a teacher consultant in Japan with the Shizuoka Board of Education has taught JJ the importance of empathy, connection and understanding of students’ diverse needs as a crucial component of educational leadership. JJ has presented at numerous conferences at the district, provincial, national and international level. In 2011, she completed her Master of Education in teaching English as an additional language. Currently, J.J. is completing her doctorate in the area of Secondary Education.
