About me
Shelley Schwarz is an EAL Consultant with the Specialized Learning Support Team at Edmonton Public Schools, where she supports EAL programming. Her passion for second language learning began in the 1980s while tutoring children of a newcomer family and grew into a 30-year career as a Teacher, Curriculum Coordinator, Project Writer, and Consultant. She has taught sheltered language classes across various grade levels and adapted programming for hundreds of students, enabling them to access academic content while developing their language skills. Shelley's interest in artificial intelligence was ignited when she first learned about its potential. She is committed to learning about and sharing both the opportunities and challenges AI brings to education and language learning.
